Thanksgiving is a time in the U.S. that we stop and think about things we are thankful for

Thanksgiving is the time for people to think about who are they thankful for. I also think about this question carefully. In my life, my dad is the one I really thankful for, because he taught me lots of things, paid for my education fees and sent me to special school to learn English. He always went to work in the morning and came back at the midnight. I saw him work so hard and could have enough sleep everyday. We did not have holiday on weekend, because my dad was working. We rarely ate lunch or dinner together. However, I still appreciated him. He worked so hard just for our family. He also paid lots of money for me to study in California. It cost more money, so he had to work harder to get more money. I will get to university and get a good degree as soon as possible. My father is the one I really want to be thankful for.

How to pass the TOEFL

It is a big problem for ALP students to pass the TOEFL test. For me, I have a few ways to prepare for the test. There are the reasons that I passed the IBT. First of all, I read some English magazines such as TIME, in order to read faster. I also tried to study some sample test materials before I took the test. I studied in an American-style school. I tried to speak English with my teachers all the time. It was a good way to improve my speaking skill. It was important to practice test questions when I had time, because the speaking section required fast speaking skill. I also had all of my classes in English. It was helpful for my listening skill. The listening section required note-taking skills and listening ability. Finally, it was necessary to write a paragraph everyday. In my literature class, I needed to write essays every week. This helped my writing ability. I was able to write 300 words in 30 minutes. Because of these things, I did learn my reading, speaking, As a result, I passed the TOEFL. Now, I am waiting for admission of the university.

What is your dream job?

There are so many jobs that I can do in the future. However, my dream job is to be a pianist. First time I heard piano songs, I suddenly decided to learn how to play a piano. I really fall in love with the piano melody at the time.
When I was 16, I started to get in contact with piano. My piano teacher was really good, and I always wanted to be as good as her. However, to be a pianist, I can be able to perform with orchestra. I will have lots of chance to play with famous orchestra and famous director; it will be perfect experiences for me. I enjoyed playing with such a big group, because orchestra can perform beautiful melody and I loved it so much. I always wanted to play piano concerto with orchestra. For instance, I would like to play famous concerto “Rachmaninoff piano concerto no.2”. It was the most beautiful piano concerto that I ever heard.
Furthermore, I loved to enjoy audience’s faces when they listened to my concert. I felt happy when they enjoy my music, and it will be the motivation for me to perform better music. The atmosphere in music hall always surrounds by classical music melody, and I felt comfortable with it.
In conclusion, I would like to be a famous pianist. I love classical music and enjoyed to perform it. However, I learned it only for two years and I stopped to have further education (came to US). I always have the dream to perform piano songs in the stage, so I want to be a pianist as my dream job.
